Quiet border

Quiet border -

And this was the border crossing I had chosen, as you can see.... it was rather quiet. You see, Servia is not part of the EU and therefor still has 'proper' borders. Normally. This one though, far in the backroads and not on most maps, wasn't. It was still an official border crossing but only open on some random days of the year. Mostly to do with holidays that people on both sides of the borders celebrate. Or so the Servian Border Police told me, laughing, after I had boldly crossed into their country to ask if I could get a stamp. I couln't and since the Romanians had seen on camera that I had crossed, they rang them up to say sorry for me and then sent me back into Romania. Bugger.
